76′ GOAL!!! NorthEast 1-0 Kolkata (Nicolas Velez) Out of nowhere, the ball is floated into the box. The Argentinian cuts on the right and space opens up for him and the ball is caressed into the top right corner. The ball is into the net.
73′ Simao has come on for NorthEast United. Iain Hume has a shot and the ball is out for a corner.!
71′ Another waste of an effort! After winning the ball back, Atletico patiently start an attack and Rino Anto gets the ball on the right flank. The cross is inexplicably poor.
70′ NorthEast having a spell on the ball. Velez drifts the ball to the right. The cross comes in and Amrinder this time, does well to come off his lines and collect the ball.
69′ That was nearly professional suicide from Amrinder. The ball is floated into the box and NorthEast’s keeper, who has been excellent throughout spills it after Sanju chases after it. The ball is kept out.
67′ There is a double change from NorthEast- a rarity these days and Velez is driving NorthEast United with his pace and there is a rash challenge from Nato, who goes into the book
64′ Rehenesh is facing a firing squad here. The shots are coming in thick and fast and NorthEast are under heaps of pressure. Lopez drives a superb ball into the box and Nato’s header thunders off the bar and Lara’s shot is blocked.
55′ Rain of shots coming in from Javi Lara and here comes another bullet which zooms into the area where the cameras are placed. Ball goes to the other end.
53′ Kolkata are commanding this phase. NorthEast are not getting a sniff and substitutes are warming up on the touchline.
51′ Kolkata showing great cutting edge here and here again, Borja carves the defense open with a slick ball and a shot comes in from deep but it rolls wide of the post.
49′ Oh Javi Lara, what have you done? The ball comes into the territory as Gavilan makes and powerful run into the box and the NorthEast defenders are drawn towards him. The ball takes a deflection and from two yards out, Javi Lara boots the ball to Row Z. What a miss and the Kolkata dugour can’t believe what they saw!
47′ The second half is underway and the ball is cleared out by the Kolkata defense. NorthEast have the ball and the right flank is the preferred route.
45+3′ There is an elbow from Dadzie on Tiri, who tumbles in the box. Habas is furious as there was no foul and thjat will be the last bit of action of the first half, which was not short of drama or entertainment.
45+2 Kamara launched a counter for NorthEast but they could not see the end of that. There was another NorthEast attack and ball and here comes another shot, Gavilan with the shot and the ball is deflected away from goal, inadvertently by Hume.
45+1 Now Robin Gurung is nursing an injury and is taken to the sidelines. Meanwhile, Javi Lara bombs into the area, cuts to his right and lets one fly to the far post. It is a finger-tip save from Rehenesh and it is an excellent try overall.
44′ The play has slowed down and Lopez was on the ground for a minute, smarting from a crunching challenge from Iain Hume, who is on the ground and having a laugh. He can’t believe the impact of that tackle.
42′ Baljit with the chance and it is wide again!!!! Another narrow miss as Kolkata are heading back into the contest. The corner was swung in and the Indian forward ran into space and the header was slightly misdirected.
40′ Kolkata win a corner and the header from Nato is off the mark. Out of nowhere, Kolkata was presented with a golden chance and the ball smacks Hengbart and it is out.
38′ For the few opportunities that Kolkata have got, the efforts have been wayward. Javi Lara with the effort and the shot is well wide. Embarrassingly wide.
34‘ Updates are back and so are NorthEast, who are troubling the defenders with a series of through balls. The final delivery is missing but there is plenty of good football and the crowd are at the edge of their seats.
We are experiencing technical difficulties. Live Updates of the match will continue soon.
31′ What a volley from Reagan Singh!!! Amrinder is equally good and is keeping his side in the game. The right back took the ball from the corner and the ball was heading goalwards but Amrinder sh0ws great athleticism to tip the ball over the line.
29′ NorthEast are trying to control possession in the game and are finding it extremely hard to hold on to the ball. Confusion in the Kolkata box again and NorthEast wins a corner.
26′ NorthEast play a high tempo game and that is becoming harder and harder for Kolkata to cope. The away side are slowing the pace of the game down and in comes Baljit Sahni wins a corner, provoking some confusion in the NorthEast defense.
23′ NorthEast are on the march and are running Kolkata ragged in this game. The home side are showing great tempo and passing rhythm. Rino Anto was booked for a trip outside the box. Bruno’s free kick was punched away by Amrinder and the visitors can breathe easy now.
