Pune 2-2 Goa – Match result LIVE | ISL 2015 Live Score Updates FC Pune City vs FC Goa, Indian Super League 2015

90+4′ Another late scrap and the referee blows the whistle and Goa are crestfallen!! Gregory is on the floor and Pune leave it so late to get an equaliser. Surely, one of the best games of the season so far and Zico walks off the field, livid as to how Goa didn’t extend their lead or walk away with three points.

90+3′ GOAL!!! Pune 2-2 Goa (Adrien Mutu) What a finish to this contest!!! Well deserved goal for Pune and Mutu cracks a terrific volley into the back of the net. It is the Romanian’s first goal for any club in two years and his first in an orange jersey too.

90+1 Kattimani may have well made the save of the match. Pune are having a lion’s share of the possession and from a crowded area, the ball bounced kindly for Tuncay whose final touch was parried away by the keeper. The ball comes back through Verhoek and Johnson heads the ball to the far post. Yet again, Kattimani shows safe hands.

89′ Leo Moura is still busy, making runs down the right channel. Here, he tries to chip the ball over the keeper but the ball is over the bar.

85′ Tuncay ghosted his way into the back post and got a free header on goal and the shot was on target and the effort was saved. Offside flag was raised. Pune have got to latch on to these half-chances.

83′ Pune get Tuncay on and Zokora comes off

77′ Some fantastic football at both ends of the pitch. Mutu was in the area and his shot fizzed narrowly wide of the post. Mandaar got past two defenders but could not get his shot on target, It was a good move from the Goa winger though.

67‘ Eugenson makes space around the right, he goes around Gregory and takes a shot and the ball is parried away from Kattimani. The corner that was taken immediately after the effort went wide.

65′ Goa are closing down space well. Wesley Verhoek has come on for James Bailey and there is the occasional long ball that is being thumped into the Dutchman to make one of his trademark run down the flanks. Goa are stubborn though.

62′ Gregory is pounding the ground in pain as he gets into a duel with Adrien Mutu. The Romanian was all set to take a shot, which he skews wide but Gregory’s knee thunders into Mutu’s shin. Nasty!

Substitution for Goa: Rafael is stretched off and in comes Dudu to replace him

57′ Rafael hits the deck and needs treatment. The medics rush on the pitch as the Goa striker struggles to get back on his feet.

54′ Both teams playing with the full knowledge that the next goal will go on to have a telling impact on the contest. Moura makes a clever turn to set up a Goa counter abut Zokora and co are watchful at the moment.

49′ Pune are setting the pace in this half as they desperately try to get back in the contest. Goa come close too on a counter but the ball was cleared out by the Pune defense, who hold their lines.

Half-Time

45+3′ End to end stuff again. Shorey gets on the left flank and cuts the ball back into the area. Cleared well by Lucio and the other end, Goa again cut Pune open and the flag is raised just as Goa were all set to double their lead. That will be the last act of an enthralling first half.

45+2′ Three minutes of stoppage time and Pune are in more trouble. Offside called against Rafael Coelho

‘ It was coming for a while as Pune had briefly lost their shape in midfield and defense, allowing the opponents to head inside the area and have a sniff at goal. There was nothing spectacular about the shot but the touch from Tuncay standing at the face of goal was crucial and the ball rolled into the right corner, sending Simonsen the other way.

44′ Pune 1-2 Goa (Jonathan Lucca) Shot at target and Tuncay takes an unfortunate touch to bundle the ball into the net.

43′ More shots on target and Simonsen comes up with an even better save. Moura is bossing the Goa attack at the moment. The ball reaches the midfielder outside the area and lets a curler aimed at the top corner. Tipped over by Simonsen.

41‘ Goa are playing some scintillating football here and twice come close to taking a lead. Rafael, Moura and Lucca play a lovely triangle outside the area. Lucca unleashes a shot and  Simonsen had to dive full stretch to parry the ball away.

37′ There is a stoppage here and the referee brandishes a card and has a word with Leo Moura. Eugenson is also found guilty but gets away with a talk. Pune have possession of the ball at the moment.

35‘ What a response and that was simply superb from the newest member of the Goa setup. In terms of execution, the goal was identical as the Brazilian ran through the heart of the Pune defense, noone to mark him and the ball was slotted into the net. All square now

34′ GOAL!!!  Pune 1-1 Goa (Rafael Coelho) Another driving run and a superb finish

32′ That was a well taken goal from the Indian forward and Zokora, making a driving run from midfield to set his teammate up with a cut-back and it is slotted into the net.

31′  GOAL!!! Pune 1-0 Goa (Jackichand) Goal well set up by Zokora

25‘ Goa are settling in and this spells danger for Pune as they rarely take their foot off the pedal in such situations. Yet again, they threaten and Lucio set a nice ball through a backflick and the shot rolls over to the keeper.

22′ Off the line!! Leo Moura has been asking questions to the Pune backline constantly and a corner was taken and header was floated in from Rafael Coelho and the header was cleared off the line.

18‘ Mutu inside the area and he shoots straight to the keeper, Simonsen. Zokora set him up with a gorgeous through ball that set him free and the shot was straight at the keeper. Saved!! It was a superb opportunity though and would have gone in had he shot across the face of goal.

13′ Pune slowly penetrate into the opposition area and the ball is floated in and Mutu is free inside the area. He opts to go for an acrobatic kick but he fails to execute it. Pune still dominating the ball.

10′ There is a technical delay from our end here. It is has been a feisty little encounter here. Pune enjoying a lot of the possession and have won three corners in the game already.

FC Pune City will return to their backyard looking to boost their chances of sealing a semi-final berth when they face FC Goa in a ninth round clash of the Indian Super League (ISL) football tournament here on Sunday. FC Pune City endured poor results while travelling, losing against Kerala Blasters (0-2), Chennaiyin FC (1-2) and drawing with FC Goa (1-1). But as David Platt returns to the venue that gave him four victories in five matches, the coach will feel confident about logging full points.
They are currently third in the points table with 13 points from eight matches. Goa are leading the table with 14 points from eight matches.
Platt, though, will have plenty of loose ends to tie after picking up only a point from their last two matches. In search of becoming the first team to qualify for the knock-outs FC Pune City were first held by FC Goa away but it’s the blow against Kerala Blasters that will hurt Platt for some time. (IANS)
